Amazon Won't Let You List Without an FCC SDoC Contact
If you're a foreign manufacturer or seller trying to list a consumer electronic product on Amazon, you've probably hit this screen:
"FCC Radio Frequency Emission Compliance — SDoC Contact Name, US Mailing Address, Email, Phone Number required."
Amazon enforces this because the FCC requires every electronic product sold in the United States to have a U.S.-based contact under 47 CFR Part 15, Subpart B. If your company is based outside the U.S., you cannot complete this form using your overseas address.
That's where we come in. We become your U.S. SDoC contact. You get four pieces of contact information, you finish the Amazon form, and your listing goes live.
Everything You Need to Complete the Amazon SDoC Form
📍 U.S. Mailing Address
A real Ohio business address that satisfies Amazon, Etsy, eBay, and other marketplace SDoC requirements.
📞 U.S. Phone Number
A working U.S. phone number to enter into the SDoC contact field.
✉️ U.S. Email Address
A monitored email address that receives any FCC correspondence and forwards it to you the same business day.
👤 Named U.S. Contact
Owner and Founder of US Compliance Agent LLC, listed as your U.S. SDoC Contact of record.
From Payment to Listing — Same Business Day
Step 1 — Pay $149
Click the "Get Your SDoC Contact" button. Complete payment through Stripe. Takes about 60 seconds.
Step 2 — Receive Your Contact Details
Within one business day, you'll receive an email with your four SDoC contact fields ready to copy into the Amazon form.
Step 3 — Complete Your Marketplace Listing
Paste the contact details into Amazon's SDoC fields. Leave the FCC ID field blank (SDoC products don't have FCC IDs). Submit your listing.
Step 4 — Sell with Coverage for 12 Months
Your SDoC contact stays active for one year. Renews annually. We forward any FCC correspondence to you the same business day it arrives.
Built for Foreign Sellers on U.S. Marketplaces
This service is designed for one specific situation: you're listing a consumer electronic product on a U.S. marketplace, and the platform is asking for an SDoC contact.
You're a good fit if:
-
Your company is based outside the United States
-
Your product has internal electronics (microchip, charging circuit, power supply, LED driver) but no Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, or other wireless transmitter
-
You're selling on Amazon, Etsy, eBay, Walmart, or another U.S. e-commerce platform
-
You need to complete a marketplace SDoC compliance form quickly
You may need our full FCC U.S. Agent service ($349/year) instead if:
-
Your product has an FCC ID (it went through FCC Certification, not SDoC)
-
You need a formal Designation of U.S. Agent letter for FCC filings
-
You're filing with a Telecommunication Certification Body (TCB)
-
Your needs go beyond a marketplace listing
Honest About What This Service Covers
We believe in transparency. Here's what this service does not do:
-
It does not include a Designation of U.S. Agent letter. If you need formal FCC documentation, choose our $349 full FCC U.S. Agent service.
-
It does not handle Amazon listing problems, account health, or seller verification issues. Those go to your Seller Central account, not to us.
-
It is not for use as a manufacturer address, importer of record, or shipping address. Our address is for FCC regulatory correspondence only.
-
It does not certify or test your product. The manufacturer remains fully responsible for product compliance, testing, and record keeping.
-
It does not give legal advice. We're a designated contact service, not a law firm.
If your situation calls for any of the above, please reach out before purchasing — we'll point you in the right direction.

FAQ
Q: What is FCC SDoC?
SDoC stands for Supplier's Declaration of Conformity. It's the FCC compliance pathway for electronic products that don't have wireless transmitters (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, cellular). It's defined under 47 CFR Part 15, Subpart B. Most consumer electronics — kitchen gadgets, lamps, fans, charging cables, UV sterilizers, small appliances — fall under SDoC.
Q: Why does Amazon ask for an SDoC contact?
Amazon (and other U.S. marketplaces) verify that products listed on their platforms meet FCC compliance requirements. The SDoC contact field is how they confirm there's a U.S.-based party responsible for FCC correspondence regarding your product.
Q: My product has a charging cable — does it need SDoC?
If your product has any internal electronics — microcontroller, charging circuit, LED driver, motor controller — yes, it likely falls under FCC Part 15 Subpart B and needs an SDoC contact. The only products exempt are purely mechanical items with no electronics at all.
Q: What's the difference between SDoC and FCC Certification?
FCC Certification is for products with intentional radiators (Wi-Fi, Bluetooth, RF transmitters). They get a unique FCC ID. SDoC is for unintentional radiators — products with internal electronics but no wireless. SDoC is a self-declaration by the manufacturer; no FCC ID is issued.
Q: Do I need to leave the FCC ID field blank on Amazon's form?
Yes. SDoC products do not have FCC IDs. Amazon's form makes the FCC ID field optional for that reason. You only fill in the four contact fields — name, U.S. mailing address, U.S. email, U.S. phone.
Q: How fast will I get my contact details?
Same business day. After payment, you'll receive an email with your four SDoC contact fields ready to copy into the Amazon form. If you pay during U.S. business hours, expect delivery within a few hours.
Q: Will you handle FCC correspondence for me?
Yes. If the FCC contacts us about your product, we forward the correspondence to you the same business day. This is rare for SDoC products — most never receive any FCC inquiries — but the protection is in place.
Q: Will you handle Amazon notifications, listing issues, or seller account problems?
No. Amazon sends those notifications to your Seller Central account, not to us. We only receive FCC-related correspondence sent to our address. If you need help with Amazon-specific issues, you'd contact Amazon support directly.
Q: Can I use your address as my manufacturer address or importer of record?
No. Our address is registered with the FCC for regulatory correspondence and service of process only. It cannot appear on product labels, packaging, customs documents, or as a shipping address. For those, you need a separate U.S.-based importer or 3PL partner.
Q: What if my product has Bluetooth or Wi-Fi?
Then your product needs FCC Certification, not SDoC, and you'll have an FCC ID. Our $149 SDoC service is not the right fit. You need our full FCC U.S. Agent service ($349/year), which covers both Certification and SDoC filings.
Q: Do I need an FCC test report?
Technically, yes — the SDoC framework requires that your product has been tested for Part 15 Subpart B compliance by an accredited lab. Most manufacturers obtain this from their factory or hire a test lab. Our service covers the U.S. contact requirement; testing is the manufacturer's responsibility.
Q: Does this service renew automatically?
Yes. Your SDoC contact subscription renews annually at $149/year. You'll receive a reminder email 30 days before renewal. You can cancel anytime through your Stripe customer portal.
