Not sure which U.S. designation your product needs?

Get a Regulatory Pathway Assessment — a clear, written answer on which federal designation(s) apply to your product, and which don't. $149, credited toward any designation you purchase within 30 days.

What is a Regulatory Pathway Assessment?

A one-time, written assessment for foreign manufacturers entering the U.S. market. You describe your product and how you'll sell it; you receive a 1–2 page summary identifying which U.S. regulatory designation(s) it requires — MoCRA, FDA medical device, FCC, NHTSA, CPSC, Amazon INFORM, or EPA/TSCA — which it doesn't, and a direct link to purchase the right one. Turnaround is 2–3 business days.
  • A 1–2 page written summary, specific to your product
  • The designation(s) that apply — and the ones that don't
  • The plain-language regulatory basis for each
  • A direct purchase link for the designation(s) you need

What will you get

What this assessment is not

  • Informational and educational only — not legal advice, not regulatory advice, and not a legal or regulatory determination
  • It routes and recommends; it does not certify your product or make a final drug, device, or cosmetic classification
  • It creates no attorney–client, consultant, or advisory relationship
  • Genuinely ambiguous cases are referred to a specialist partner, not resolved in the report

How it works

  1. Pay & describe. Complete checkout, then a short intake form — your product, your U.S. marketing claims, target marketplace, and any existing filings or FCC IDs.
  2. We assess. We review your inputs against the relevant federal requirements.
  3. You decide. You receive your 1–2 page summary in 2–3 business days, with a direct link to the designation you need.

The Credit

The $149 is fully credited toward any U.S. designation you purchase from us within 30 days. If you already expect to need a designation, the assessment effectively costs nothing — it just removes the guesswork first.

Frequently asked questions

  • How is this different from buying a designation? A designation is the ongoing service for a requirement you already know you have. The assessment is the step before — it tells you which requirement(s) you actually have.

  • What if my product needs more than one? The summary lists every designation that applies, with a purchase link for each.

  • What if my case is ambiguous? Genuinely borderline classifications get referred to a specialist partner rather than guessed at — that boundary is deliberate.

  • Do I have to buy a designation afterward? No. You get the written summary regardless. The $149 credit is there if you choose to proceed.
